First, a description of what I'm trying to do:

Status Designer and Status Server installed on Machine A on Domain A
Status Server installed on Machine B on Domain B

There is a local OPC DA server (DeltaV OPC server -- opc server name is OPC.DeltaV.1) on Machine B that I'd like to access data points from Status Designer on Machine A. Both Machine A and B run Windows Server 2003.

The Status Server instance on Machine A works just fine. I'm able to connect to the server instance through the Status Server Management Console, connect to SQL db as a data source, able to create calculation profiles and calculations using Status Server's calculation engine, able to connect to data from a local Matrikon OPC simulation server).

What I'm having problems with is the Status Server instance on Machine B. The installation is successfuly, however when I go to the Status Server Management Console on Machine B and attempt to connect to the local (Machine B) Status Server instance, the connection cannot be made. I receive the following error messages:

<----            Begin Error Messages           ---->

Not Connected To Service: Could not refresh data sources: Could not connect to http://flox:8002/StatusServer/Configuration. TCP error code 10061: No connection could be made because the target machine actively refused it 10.4.0.22:8002.
Inner: Unable to connect to the remote serverNo connection could be made because the target machine actively refused it 10.4.0.22:8002

Not Connected To Service: Check Registration Failed: Could not connect to http://flox:8002/StatusServer/Configuration. TCP error code 10061: No connection could be made because the target machine actively refused it 10.4.0.22:8002.
Inner: Unable to connect to the remote serverNo connection could be made because the target machine actively refused it 10.4.0.22:8002

Not Connected To Service: Could not connect to http://flox:8002/StatusServer/Configuration. TCP error code 10061: No connection could be made because the target machine actively refused it 10.4.0.22:8002. : Could not connect to http://flox:8002/StatusServer/Configuration.
<----              End Error Messages           ---->

The error messages are in that order, and this last one (which says "Could not connect to") is reprinted constantly while the management console continues retrying the connection, until I close the management console.

The next step is going to be to connect to the Status Server instance on Machine B from Machine A, but I can't connect to the Status Server on Machine B using a local Management Console instance, so that's the first obstacle to overcome...

Can anyone help me out with this? I thought that maybe there was a port conflict on the port numbers that Status Server uses, but I checked using netstat and no other entities are using any of the ports that Status Server seems to use. We've installed the Status Server on other machines, and never had this problem, so it seems to be an issue that's isolated on this one particular system.

Any help would be greatly appreciated! We are trying to evaluate the software on our in-office demo system, and everything looks promising, but we need to be able to tie into REAL, relevant data in order to make a compelling demo to show customers if we decide that this package is something we should offer them.
