Mobiform’s Status Vision Designer is a powerful
HMI design product with built-in connectivity to
real-time OPC data. Status uses XAML as its native
file format for HMI screens, allowing data binding
and control animations to be done with just a few
clicks instead of writing hundreds of lines of code.
Status Vision Designer resources include hundreds of
XAML-based industrial clip-art and over 70
pre-defined manufacturing control styles including
Tanks, Gauges, Buttons, Indicators, Pipes, Fans,
Motors, Rotary, LEDs, Keypads and Input. Trending of
data can display an infinitely variable number of
values using two different graph types: Line
and OPCItemsListView. The complete Status Vision Designer
package creates a new, feature-rich environment that
is far more accessible, flexible and streamlined
than standard HMI development.
Status Vision Designer allows binding of OPC XML
DA and OPC DA real-time data to any property of any WPF control
regardless of whether it is one of the 70 WPF
controls, 70+ Status controls, or a third-party WPF
control. The binding engine provides the necessary
connection and data subscription information to be
embedded exclusively with an XAML layout definition.
All this is accomplished without the need for coding
the OPC interface or underlying bindings to a
dependency property of the element.
HMI Applications can be large and are generally
produced a with main screen and a hierarchy of sub
screens. In Status Web Applications, each screen in
the project is an XAML Page. One of the advantages
of using a Web Application for an HMI system
is that the ‘links’ to content in the XAML Pages can
be linked to content other than XAML. For example
they could be to support technical documentation
in PDF format, video, audio,
or to other web sites.
HMI projects can have many dozens of screens;
traditional HMI projects can have 100 or more
screens in a single project that makes
it difficult to manage. With web applications,
individual blocks of functionality can exist as a
single manageable web application with each of these
blocks providing a discrete view and a limited
number of screens. By having one web application
linking to another, applications can be infinitely
scalable and can exist in different geographical
locations.
Utilizing the power of WPF, Status can create
either standalone Windows applications or web
applications (which are full-blown WPF applications
running through a web browser). Status will soon
support the Silverlight platform which will allow
Mac and Linux users to become web clients. Using
Mobiform’s Status Vision Designer and the latest
technologies by Microsoft, HMI integrators can now
create web applications as compelling as those on
the desktop with performance to match.
Status Trend controls capture values over time
and depict them so the changes in those values are
readily accessible and easily compared. Standard
controls display a current value in a variety of
formats whereas the Trend controls display a history
of values in a like- format (i.e.OPCItemsListView
and
Line Chart). Trend controls’ functionality includes
variable visible segments, variable value history,
dynamic update,
ability to clear data values, in addition to
many more options.
